Sawako Watanabe is a calligrapher and contemporary artist studied under Shiryu Morita. Since exhibition of her works in Bokujinkai in 1980's, she has been concurrently releasing contemporary arts in a field called as "BOKUSYO" which are different from calligraphy. In general, penmanship and ink painting may be familiar in a field of calligraphy. Her works to be introduced here, however, are part of works associated with contemporary art. Her world may not be understood by such a common sense that "Chinese character" as an ideogram should be read. Nevertheless, existence of tremendous energy created by her may be glimpsed once you have got a clue of appreciation. There is a stack of history until the creator finds her way to this point.
